Octopus Islands

The Octopus Islands

Unlike most people, we were underwhelmed and disappointed with the Octopus Islands. Perhaps this was because it was rainy and dismal weather during our short stay.

The day of our departure, we took a morning dinghy exploration and were disappointed since most islands are posted as private, with no opportunity to walk and stretch our legs. The water was very weedy and not conducive for swimming.

Most of the boats at anchor seemed to be avid shrimpers or fishermen.

Mid-afternoon, we opted to up anchor and move on to Drew Harbour and Heriot Bay.
I am sure that a bright sunny day may present a more favorable response.
